Kverneland Group and AEF - Members and Steering Committee

The AEF wishes to provide the necessary resources and appropriate know-how so that important technical challenges concerning electronic and electrical systems in agricultural technology and farming can be jointly addressed by the industry.

The Agricultural Industry Electronics Foundation (AEF) supports the development of electronic and electrical systems in agriculture, promoting open data flow, connectivity, and compatibility. Founded in 2008 by seven leading ag companies—Agco, Claas, CNH, Grimme, John Deere, Kverneland Group, and Pöttinger—along with AEM and VDMA, the AEF acts as an independent platform for advancing ag technology.

Initially focused on ISOBUS standardization, the AEF has expanded to include electric drives, camera systems, farm management information systems (FMIS), high-speed ISOBUS, and wireless in-field communication. Its 190+ members collaborate on solutions to improve equipment integration and data sharing.

Kubota Corporation, Kverneland Group’s parent company, now holds core AEF membership, driving global tech development. Kverneland Group continues to support AEF initiatives as a general member, contributing expertise in ISOBUS technology.

AEF Objectives

  • Foster international cooperation in agricultural electronics.
  • Build partnerships to enhance system compatibility.
  • Improve and certify standards like ISOBUS.
  • Provide support through certification, training, and consulting on global ag electronics standards.

This ensures seamless connectivity and compatibility for efficient, data-driven farming solutions.
